SAP migration – FI, MM and SD - 6/1/2009 – Today, Germany, Hungary, Austria (Partnership with Fa. Assign)

The sector construction products of the Saint Gobain Group had decided within the scope of the IT harmonization / ERP systems to consolidate all subsidiaries in a defined SAP landscape named AGILE shared service center. Within this project our responsibility consisted of the following tasks:

• Preparation, creation and adaptation of mapping documents between legacy and target system.
• Alignment with the business on the scope and context of the migration.
• Creation and adaptation of the data extraction tools.
• Creation and adaptation of the migration processes.
• Design and build conversions programs in MS Access based on the mapping documents.
• Creation and adaptation of SAP/LSMW tools for loading programmes.
• Monitoring of the load process (Offshore) and management of the error logs.
• Adaptation of the conversion with respect to harmonization requirements.
• Problem analysis and identification of required customization changes.
• Supervision and control of the data cleansing
• Document changes in mapping documents
• Supervision and control of the delta loads
• Go-Live and support

• SD: Customers master data (general, sales, company, bank, communication, partner, text, contacts, hierarchy).
• SD: conditions.
• FI: Open items accounts receivables.
• Open items accounts payables.
• MM: Master data and changes.

Special tools

• The migration of SD conditions sets specific requirements, since not only does the data change but also the structure and logic of the price determination. Therefore, for the 200,000 records to be migrated, a special tool SQL-generator was implemented, which not only carried out the master data conversion but also took the target structures into consideration.
