The bank sector has not yet fully recovered from the financial crisis. The reasons being the new rigorous regulations, very low interest rates and the continued customer distrust. As a result banks are under pressure to cut down costs which also explains why several consolidations are evident in the sector. To this extent banks must constantly modify their complex application landscapes and outsourced processes.
